Amy will be 16 this year, and to be perfectly honest, it is TOTALLY freaking me out. How can she be almost 16? I look at her and still see my happy-go-lucky 5 year old, the sweetest, kindest girl I've ever known. Teenage Amy is still absolutely without a doubt one of the kindest, sweetest, most sensitive girls I've ever known, but we do have our moments. :) I'm so lucky to be able to homeschool her, I can't even imagine what our life would look like if she went to regular high school. I know people do it all the time, but I'm very grateful for the days that we get to spend together.
I'm planning a special surprise for Amy's 16th birthday, in addition to a Sweet 16 party (plus it's her golden birthday, she'll be 16 on the 16th!) Lots of 16s... So excited, but I want to keep the present hush-hush until her special day.
What did you do for your 16th birthday? Comment below, I'd love to know!

I love reading your blog and getting to know you and your children. I pray I can develop such a relationship w/my daughter.
For my 16th, my parents gave me a birthstone pinky ring. I still have it.
